State attorney general sues Brookhaven Nursing Center in Carollton

The state attorney general’s office is accusing a Carrollton nursing home of failing to implement emergency response protocols which contributed to the death of a resident during a power outage in April.On April 10, an electrical storm caused a power outage that lasted eight hours at the Brookhaven Nursing Center. The attorney general’s office said 17 residents who needed oxygen were deprived of breathing machines during the outage.
